A Chef’s Vision Brought to Life in Fort Greene

Nestled in the heart of Fort Greene, this 900 sq. ft. eatery is more than just a restaurant—it’s an extension of its chef-owner’s passion for food, hospitality, and community. With a tight footprint and a big vision, our challenge was to create a space that felt local, homegrown, and deeply personal, while maintaining a well-curated, polished aesthetic that set it apart from typical neighborhood spots.

Working closely with Chef Matt and Po, we developed a design concept that mirrors their culinary approach—thoughtful, intentional, and full of character. Every detail, from the materials and finishes to the layout and lighting, was chosen to enhance the feeling that you’re not just dining in a restaurant, but in the chef’s private dining room, surrounded by an eclectic yet effortlessly cool Fort Greene crowd.

Despite the compact space, we maximized functionality and flow, ensuring that the kitchen, service, and guest experience operated seamlessly. A mix of warm, textured elements and modern design choices created an environment that feels both inviting and unexpected—just like the food being served.

This project was a true collaboration between design, culinary artistry, and the energy of Brooklyn itself—a restaurant that feels as personal as it does iconic.
