New York Iconic Food Spot Reinvented

In the heart of SoHo, Manhattan, we had the privilege of reimagining and relocating one of NYC’s most beloved dining institutions—Spring Natural. This iconic restaurant, known for its commitment to fresh, wholesome food, needed a new home that would honor its history while embracing a modern, open, and welcoming aesthetic.

The project was a full-gut renovation, transforming the space into a light-filled, contemporary dining experience. A mix of classic materials and sleek, modern lines sets the tone, creating a warm yet sophisticated environment. Working closely with Uhuru Design, we integrated custom furniture pieces, ensuring that every detail—from the seating to the tables—reflected thoughtful craftsmanship and quality.

The downstairs level was converted into a lounge-like space, designed to respect the industrial character of the building, where original NYC subway steel beams remain exposed across the ceiling, adding a raw, urban authenticity. Outside, the bright blue glazed brick facade, finished in a custom color, serves as a striking architectural statement—a bold and memorable touch that defines the restaurant’s new identity.

This project was an intense, fast-paced transformation, requiring a balance of creative vision, precision, and deep respect for the restaurant’s legacy. The result is a space that feels both fresh and familiar, modern yet timeless, an evolution that ensures Spring Natural continues to be a staple of the NYC dining scene for years to come.
